The tutor-led A-10C Weapon Expansion Course consists of ten sessions covering the following topics:
Session 1: Targeting Pod
Session 2: SPI and CCRP Release
Session 3: Cluster Bombs
Session 4: Laser Guided Bombs
Session 5: Laser Spot Search and Long Range LGB Release
Session 6: JDAMs
Session 7: Mavericks
Session 8: TGP & Maverick in Air Combat
Session 9: Pre-handling Test
Session 10: Handling Test
Each session lasts approx. 2-2.5 hours and consists of a theoretical part in which the tutor gives a presentation and a subsequent practical part in which the covered topics are practised. At the end, a debriefing takes place, if necessary with evaluation via TacView. The dates of the meetings are negotiated between the participants and the tutor. Attendance at all dates is compulsory. Passing the final exam entitles the participant to take part in the next course.
