Privacy Policy

This website is operated by a private person (see imprint) and does not pursue any commercial purposes! No data will be passed on to third parties.

We explicitly recommend to use pseudonymized data when creating a user account.

Even if the system asks for first and last name as mandatory fields (which we unfortunately cannot change), this data are not required for the use of the learning platform. This means that you should enter fantasy data.

Only your e-mail address is required for registration and must be correct, as you will be sent a confirmation e-mail.

The use of www.openflightschool.de and its offers is voluntary.

With the beginning of the registration as a user, the data entered by you or automatically accrued with your use will be processed. As far as this data refers to your person and not only to a fictitious identity, it is personal data. Therefore, the relevant data protection laws also apply to www.openflightschool.de.

Above all, these laws require detailed information about the type and scope of the collection of personal data and the way in which it is processed further.

Your Data

When you register, you enter your name, e-mail address, place of residence and country. This data is stored in a database. After logging in, you can view this data at any time by clicking on your name (top right screen). In your personal profile you can revise these data. You can also change your settings to determine whether certain data should be visible to other users. Your entries will be visible to other teachers and administrators.
Please use pseudonyms for the fields First Name, Last Name and City. We are not interested in your correct address details!

Registration

During the registration process you will receive an email to make sure that someone has not misused your email address. Only after confirmation of this e-mail you will actually be registered as a user at www.openflightschool.de. Otherwise your data will be deleted automatically after 7 days at the latest.

Course Registration

If you register as a user in courses, you will also receive e-mail messages from these course rooms. You can unsubscribe from a course room as a user at any time. Just go to the course room and select in the box that you want to unsubscribe.

Communication

In your personal profile you can choose how to receive e-mails from www.openflightschool.de (e.g. single e-mails or daily summaries). You can adjust this setting yourself at any time.

Data Logs

In addition to the information requested in the registration form, which is sometimes mandatory and sometimes voluntary, Moodle, the software used by www.openflightschool.de, logs which users access which parts of the site and other users' profiles at what time. Depending on the structure of the individual course structure, the software also records whether you have completed tasks, whether and what contributions you have made in any forums, whether and how you have participated in workshops or tests.

When using the Messenger, the texts you post to other users can be viewed by teachers and administrators. If you don't want this to happen, please use your email system and use email to post messages to other users.

This usage data remains stored at www.openflightschool.de. They are accessible to the administration of www.openflightschool.de and the management of the respective course, but not (apart from data in connection with forums) to other users. Posts you make, for example, within forums are also available at a later date when you are no longer active as a user. These contributions are similar to letters to the editor of a newspaper. After publication, you can still read them years later. The courses on www.openflightschool.de are public. They are also recorded by search functions e.g. by Google.

If you are no longer registered in the course, your contact details are no longer visible to other users. By setting your personal profile you can, for example, make your email address invisible to other users. This setting does not apply to teachers or administrators of a course.

Note: If you are creating a non-public course in a moodle system then the course content and contributions will not be found by search engines. However, www.openflightschool.de is a public page for information and presentation purposes and therefore configured slightly differently.

Statistical evaluations of usage are automatically deleted after 10 days.

The stored data will not be passed on to any other person or body, not even in anonymous form.

Consent

By registering and using www.openflightschool.de, you give your consent to the designated data collection and use in full knowledge of these explanations.

This consent can be freely revoked at any time by making a corresponding declaration to the administration of www.openflightschool.de. Your access to www.openflightschool.de will then be deleted. Please write an e-mail to the person listed below.
