The tutor-led A-10C Weapons Basic Course consists of seven sessions covering the following topics:
Session 1: GAU8A
Session 2: Unguided Missiles
Session 3: Unguided Bombs with CCIP
Session 4: IR Countermeasures
Session 5: Radar Countermeasures
Session 6: Air Combat for Self-defence
Session 7: Handling Test
Each session lasts approx. 2-2.5 hours and consists of a theoretical part in which the tutor gives a presentation and a subsequent practical part in which the covered topics are practised. At the end, a debriefing takes place, if necessary with evaluation via TacView. The dates of the meetings are negotiated between the participants and the tutor. Attendance at all dates is compulsory. Passing the handling test entitles the participant to take part in the next course.
