General
The tutor-led F/A-18C Weapons Basic Course 1 consists of seven dates covering the following topics:
Session 1: AGM-62 Walleye II "Fat Albert"
Session 2: AN/ASQ-228 ATFLIR Targeting Pod
Session 3: Unguided bombs in AUTO/CCRP mode
Session 4: Cluster bombs
Session 5: JDAM
Session 6: Laser Guided Bombs
Session 7: AGM65 Maverick Missle
Session 8: Handling Test
Each session lasts approx. 2-2.5 hours and consists of a theoretical part in which the tutor gives a presentation and a subsequent practical part in which the covered topics are practised. At the end, a debriefing takes place, if necessary with evaluation via TacView. The dates of the meetings are negotiated between the participants and the tutor. Attendance at all dates is compulsory. Passing the handling test entitles the participant to take part in the next course.
