Further Source of Information

2. Handbook and Guides

"Photo Courtesy of U.S. Army" - by Tech. Sgt. Andy Dunaway, Public domain, via Wikimedia CommonsIn this course we try to limit the information offered to the most necessary. We do this on purpose so that a newcomer is not flooded with information and feels overwhelmed. Therefore, although we show you here which buttons and switches have to be pressed to start the systems, we do not yet explain what the individual systems are good for. That will follow in the later courses.

However, we also know that there are different types of learners. Some people want more background information and may even need it to remember the facts better. Therefore, we would like to show you some sources of information where you can find detailed background information.

This is also important in case you are enthusiastic about learning more, but the next course is just not ready yet.

The first place to go is, of course, the DCS module manual. The latest version is usually always delivered with the game. However, if you need to know where to look. It is in the DCS installation directory under Mods\aircraft\AH-64D\Docs. It is very detailed and extensive.

Since the AH-64D has not yet been released, you can download the Quick Start Manual here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/documentation/AH64D_flight_manual_en/
