1. Multiplayer
Online - on the net together with others. For many, this is precisely the appeal of a flight simulation. Flying a mission together, mastering a complex tactical situation or competing against each other. There is much more or less to experience together.
In a team, many things are easier, you learn faster, you meet new people, you are more likely to be successful and more often. For this to happen, everyone should know what to do. This concerns, on the one hand, the handling of the airplane or helicopter, whereby one can also learn this together, particularly if that is sense and purpose of the common time and the server mission supports or even promotes that also.
In most cases of flying together on a multiplayer server, however, you find yourself in a more or less complex tactical or even strategic situation on the battlefield. Here it is important to know what the situation is, who is doing what, how the individual attack/defense phases interact, which weapons are appropriate and so on. To have as much information as possible at hand, there is a mission briefing.
For the missions we host ourselves on our servers, here are the detailed briefings and a few tips and suggestions on how to proceed. Many of our training missions have possibilities to adjust the mission a little bit during operation and to practice certain things.
In the future we will also present servers that are really recommendable and one or the other MP missions to host yourself.
2. OFS Training Server - Universal Mission Map
Welcome to the OFS Bootcamp.
Our standard mission to practice and test, fly together, break things together or just hang out and watch planes.

Overview
The map is sort of divided into sectors with different focal points, in each sector every aircraft should actually be available in sufficient quantities.
The south
with the region Batumi, Kutaisi, Senaki to Sukhumi and the sea in front of it is primarily meant to learn to fly and navigate with airplanes and helicopters.
to learn how to fly and navigate
to practice attacking ground targets
to practice one or the other landing on a ship and to take off from there if successful
to transport external loads with the helicopter.
In the east
on the axis Kutaisi Tbilisi starting from Khashuri the red troops invaded blue territory, please go there only if you know what you are doing.
In the northeast
between Beslan and Mozdok there are only a few propeller planes from the Second World War and this is also the area to really get into the air combat man against man. Or even one against many. Both airfields have space protection by some flak otherwise nothing.
In the north
between Mineralnie Wody and Maykop there is enough space for all jet pilots who finally want to compete man against man or even in a team against real players. Missiles, on-board cannon, nasty maneuvers, there can be only one winner... Space protection is available and a ground control center (GCI) can support you in tracking down the enemy.
In the northwest
near Krasnodar WWII pilots can test their skills against single but infinitely returning AI enemies. The AI flies sometimes this, flies sometimes that, but always a WWII plane and comes sometimes from here, sometimes from there, sometimes a little higher, sometimes a little lower. Search, find, break and learn from mistakes.
In the very northwest
between Krasnodar, Krymsk, Anapa and Novorosylsk as well as Gelendzyk, jet pilots or also one or the other WWII pilot practice everything what one does in the air.
The focus of the region is on aerial combat and refueling in the air, in addition you will find various tankers, two Awacs that show you the way to the enemy and an arsenal of opponents, from completely easy defenseless victims to aggressive opponents ready to fight, there is everything. And that as often and when you want. Finally a small landing on the carrier or a precise approach to another airfield, go ahead, everything is possible. If you feel like it, you can fly down to Batumi and land there.
So far the rough overview, now to the details, pictures sketches, etc to the individual areas. Let's go.
2.1. Eastern - Gori Tiflis - Battlezone
Region: Plain of Khashuri, South Osetia, Gori, to Tbilisi
If you have had enough of simple practice with more or less defenseless targets and want to test the matter a bit more seriously, just fly to the east. We have simulated a small battlefield there to be able to practice a bit realistic combat against ground targets.
Situation:
In our fictitious scenario, the Red Coalition has occupied South Osetia in the last two days and has surprisingly established itself in Tbilisi. Red troop movements are taking place in the Gori Valley to consolidate the situation and secure supply routes for the Red Coalition.
In the whole northern Gori Valley up to Khashuri there are red ground troops, mostly T-72 tanks, BMP's, in between there are air defense units of different types, from simple 23mm AAA over OSA and MANPAD's up to BUK.
Tbilisi itself is now already heavily protected with red air defenses, but only a few red ground troops are stationed in the city area and at the three airfields. Some Blue troops have been encircled on the southwestern city wheel and cut off from supplies. Artillery fire is on the city.
The Blue Coalition was too late in recognizing the situation, and only last night assembled makeshift troops from unoccupied western Georgia and moved them into the region. The bulk of the Blue troops are currently in the area around Khashuri to Gori, the majority in the southern section of the valley plain. A helipad has been hastily established near Khashuri at the entrance to the valley and supply units are ensuring that ammunition, refueling and repairs can be carried out.
Combined Arms Players have the ability to command nearly all of the blue troops and most of the red troops and influence the ground offensive for both sides. When players on both sides compete as Tactical Commanders, the potential of extended ground combat becomes apparent.
Together with a wide variety of flying units, the concept of "linked troops" in teamwork results in a variety of ways to master the situation and use weapons with precision.
Objectives:
- Recapture of the three airfields of Tbilisi
- Elimination of all Red units in the Gori Valley in the ideal case destruction of all Red units
- Optimal use of the available Blue ground forces in the Gori Valley and around Khashuri.
Possible courses of action:
- Neutralize SAM threats and then launch massive attacks on ground targets by aircraft, helicopters, and friendly ground forces
- Low-level air attacks on ground targets using the terrain
- Reconnaissance from a distance and use long-range weapons
- Block bridges and other narrow points
Difficulties:
- Unclear situation due to inadequate reconnaissance.
(Remedy by cheating is possible here, tactical commanders can see the generic units on the map)
- longer but realistic approach paths for planes from Senaki and Kutaisi. No spawn in the battlezone, loss of the aircraft means new approach from the starting airfield.
- Realistic approach paths from the western FARP's to the battle zone for helicopters. Limited spawn in the battle zone on frontal FARP's.
- Enemy air defense, by fighters and ground based air defenses of various types.
Use of gunships requires planning, but allows rapid rearming and repeated approaches to the enemy via FARP Dallas, Vetka and Shpora.
Frequencies:
FARP Dallas - Khashuri (ATC 129.1MHz AM, Beacon 41.1MHz FM),
FARP Vetka - Gori North (ATC 129.7MHz AM)
FARP Shpora - Kaspi (ATC 129.5MHz AM)
Recommended launch sites:
Senaki, Kutaisi for jets approx. 70-90 NM to target area
FARP's Perth + Berlin approx. 44 NM through the mountains to Dallas
FARP's Paris Torba Skala Dublin approx. 65 NM to Dallas
optional FARP Dallas
2.2. North and Northeast - PVP
The north and northeast are for air combat against real players.
In the northeast in Beslan and Mozdok it is the WWII planes that can compete against each other. The airfields are secured with air defenses, so you can at least take off without being a victim.
In Mineralnye Vody and Maykop Khanskaya there are various jets to choose from and the area is also much larger. The airfields are also secured with air defenses. In addition, in the JET PVP zone there are Early Warning Radars for both coalitions and thus Ground Controlled Intercept or Awacs support is possible to find the enemy. Of course everything is allowed in air combat. Fair would be to let a defeated but still airworthy enemy land if he announces this intention, e.g. by light signals, position lights and clear behavior or just classic in Teamspeak.
The PVP zones (dark circles) can be entered with any aircraft, but aircraft with the slot ID "PVP" cannot leave the respective region. So escape from the enemy is not rewarded. smile After a short warning the coward simply explodes in the air.
Frequencies:
- GCI/AWACS 251MHz AM
2.3. Special Targets
Operation Harbour Light
Target area: Tuapse
Primary Targets: anchored Red Flag bulk and general cargo freighters, cracking facilities and gas storage tanks in the refinery area
Secondary Targets: other parts of the Tuapse oil refinery as well as other port facilities, cranes, pumps, warehouses, tanks
Start of Operation: immediately after individual preparation of mission teams, rolling approaches of individual flights over the next 15 hours

Targets
In particular, we are concerned about the new and unusually small gas storage tanks and cracking plantNo. According to rumors, these are components of the Новичок (Novichok) project. According to it, gaseous poisons can be extracted from crude oil, fertilizers, and in further consequence from them. Certain mixtures are highly toxic as a nerve gas. We have reason to believe that the Tuapse oil refinery has been producing not only diesel and gasoline for some time.
The tanker fleet that leaves the port every two to four weeks runs under red flag and some ships are not tankers at all, but bulk and general cargo freighters, parts of the fleet have also been sighted in ports of North Korea or in the immediate vicinity.
Since it was not possible for international inspectors to visit the facility on a regular basis in the last three years, we assume that our suspicions are correct and will act now.
We have the order from the very top to put an end to the hustle and bustle. Plan the details with your operations team, we expect results.
Operation Lead In
Our sources provide evidence of an unofficial convoy of ships with military security that left Turkish waters this morning and is heading north.
We suspect that this is an illegal export of Western-style military equipment. In the border area between Turkey and Syria. Patriot missile systems have "disappeared" which were allegedly withdrawn from the positions three weeks ago for maintenance purposes. This official explanation is not comprehensible, but also cannot be refuted. Turkish government officials have been preventing government officials from Germany and other NATO personnel from entering Turkish barracks for months. Strange rail transports across Turkey on barely used rail lines have been going on since then and the convoy is the logical link. We are almost 100% certain that the patriot systems are hidden on the ships. Since there is no official authorization for the search and we must prevent in any case that important components or even whole systems fall into the hands of the Red Coalition, we are forced to take drastic steps.
Fly out of it, clear up what is on board, no matter how you do it, but we need certainty. If you meet with any opposition, or if there is even the slightest doubt, we will sink everything before any of it can be brought ashore anywhere in the north. This is not official of course, we declare it an exercise and no one will see anything. No press, no fuss, no medals. And we've never talked about it. Now assemble your team so that the exercise "Lead In" can begin.
